Raihan Rafi directorial “Toofan” garnered significant buzz since its release on June 17. After making waves in theatres, “Toofan” is coming soon to Chorki and hoichoi.

The film marks the return of Masuma Rahman Nabila to the big screen, paired alongside Shakib Khan. Mimi Chakraborty, a popular actress from West Bengal, also stars alongside Shakib. Additionally, Chanchal Chowdhury is seen in a new avatar in this film. The star-studded cast also includes Gazi Rakayet, Misha Sawdagor, Fazlur Rahman Babu, Shahiduzzaman Selim, Salahuddin Lavlu, Hasnat Ripon, Gausul Alam Shaon, and Manav Sachdev, among others.

It has since been released in nearly 20 countries, including India, Australia, and Malaysia, making it the most widely released Bengali film globally, according to a press release. Its box office revenue is said to be 56 crore Tk (US$4.8 million).

Regarding the release of “Toofan” on hoichoi, Country Director Sakib R. Khan stated, “We are already sensing the excitement of Toofan coming on Hoichoi from our fans and our partners. With Toofan on Hoichoi, we promise to deliver strong value to our users in Bangladesh, uplifting their spirits during challenging times with quality entertainment that resonates with their emotions.”

Director Raihan Rafi said, “The film saw houseful shows since its theatrical release. Some people couldn’t watch it because tickets were sold out. Later, the theatres were closed for a while. But with the OTT release, everyone can watch the film.”

The date of the release hasn’t been confirmed yet by either of the platforms.
