Awami League has no objection to participating in the next election, the chief advisor of the interim government. Muhammad Yunus. Dr. in such a title. An interview of Yunus was published by the Indian media The Hindu.

The report was published in the online edition of The Hindu on Monday (November 18).

In response to the question of whether Awami League can participate in the election. Muhammad Yunus said, “We did not want to decide about political parties, and BNP (Bangladesh Nationalist Party) said, all political parties should contest the elections.” So they have already given their verdict and we cannot deny the opinion of a large group of people in the country.

When asked whether he had any objection to participating in the Awami League elections, he said, “I am not a politician who will choose one party or the other.” I am helping to implement politicians’ wishes.

“This is propaganda,” said the chief adviser on Indian media reports on the rise of extremism in Bangladesh and the security of minorities. At this time, he also expressed his opinion about the relationship between the two countries.

Regarding the return of Sheikh Hasina to Bangladesh, he said that Bangladesh will continue to try to extradite former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina from India. When asked about Hasina’s stay in India, she said her stay there is not a problem at least for now. But his talking about Bangladesh is the problem. He is talking to Bangladeshis, who are political. He continues his political activities, and that is the problem.

Dr. Yunus also said that in an audio clip, Hasina was calling people to protest on the streets in different cities. They were being told that if the police stop them from agitating with (newly elected President of the United States) Donald Trump, they can say that the government of Bangladesh is anti-American. It is interference in the internal and external affairs of a country.

Responding to a question as to why Bangladesh has not applied for Hasina’s extradition despite the prisoner exchange agreement between the two countries, the head of the interim government said, “I think the legal process is going on.” But we haven’t reached that stage yet.

In response to the question, what will happen if India does not extradite according to the agreement? Yunus said, are you saying that India will violate the agreement? Yes, there are some such clauses. But if the Government of India wants to use these clauses to keep him there, it will create very uncomfortable relations between us.

He cautioned, however, that the interim government was working for a short term. Those who come after us in government will not forgive India’s rejection.
