Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina asked why there is so much anger about the freedom fighter quota.

The Prime Minister said these things in response to questions from reporters at the press conference held at Ganobhaban on Sunday (July 14) afternoon regarding his visit to China.

The Prime Minister also said, who gave them the right to speak against the brave freedom fighters? They fought for the freedom of the country. How dare to speak against them? They don’t like the liberation war now.

Sheikh Hasina said, My question is to the countrymen. Then will Razakar’s grandchildren get jobs, not freedom fighters. What is the crime? By risking his life, he threw away everything and took part in the liberation war. Day and night without eating, breaking the clay, fighting sun-rain-storm brought victory to this country. Everyone is sitting in high position because they brought victory.

In response to another question, Sheikh Hasina said that it can be understood when the test is done. Not all quotas are met. Of course freedom fighters will get priority. Quota and merit are not the same thing. The children and grandchildren of the liberation war are not talented and the children of Razakar are talented?

He said, earlier, if you want to go abroad, you had to go to Karachi to get a visa. Because then Karachi was the capital. Then the capital is Islamabad. Earlier, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina visited Beijing on July 8. During his stay in Beijing, the Prime Minister held a bilateral meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping. Apart from this, he also participated in a representative-level bilateral meeting with Chinese Prime Minister Li Qiang.

On the last day of the visit, a meeting was held between the Prime Minister of Bangladesh and the Prime Minister of China at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on July 10. The two countries then signed 21 Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) and announced seven projects.
