3 February 2025, 6:58:47

Ziaur Rahaman: On December 30, 2024, a re-investigation was conducted for the 227 individuals excluded from the second proclamation. A list was prepared by the Ministry of Public Administration and sent to the office of the Chief Advisor after the Senior Secretary’s signature on Sunday, January 19, 2025.

Due to the Chief Advisor’s busy schedule, he could not sign it before his trip to Switzerland.

On January 15, 2025, 1896 individuals joined, with the inclusion of 227 individuals. These 227 individuals and their families are going through mental distress.

They had expected the proclamation last week. The Chief Advisor is expected to sign it upon returning to the country, and the declaration is anticipated to be issued next Sunday, January 26, 2025, allowing them to join in the first week of February 2025. The 227 excluded 43rd BCS cadres and their families have expressed hope.

On October 15, 2024, the first gazette of the 43rd BCS was published (59 individuals were excluded from the gazette). Based on this gazette, their joining date was set for November 17, 2024.

On October 28, 2024, the Ministry of Public Administration issued a notice delaying the joining date to January 1, 2025. On December 30, 2024, just two days before their expected joining date, a new proclamation was issued canceling the previous one, excluding 227 individuals.

The 43rd BCS cadres mentioned that 208 individuals from the 227 were included in the first gazette, and 41 individuals from the 59 excluded in the previous gazette were included in the new gazette.

On January 1, 2025, the 227 excluded individuals applied for re-evaluation as per the Ministry of Public Administration’s decision.

The excluded 43rd BCS cadres also mentioned that on January 9, 2025, after a meeting with representatives from NSI and DGFI, the Senior Secretary stated to the media that if there are no criminal offenses, treason, or expulsion in academic life, those who are innocent will have their gazettes within 2-3 working days, with the majority included. After re-verification, the ministry prepared a new list for the gazette.

According to the excluded 43rd BCS cadres, the Ministry of Public Administration’s prepared list was sent to the Chief Advisor’s office (as of January 19, 2025). It is believed that the file has not yet been approved due to the Chief Advisor’s foreign trip.

The Chief Advisor is returning to the country on January 25, 2025, and they are hopeful that the file will be approved and the gazette published through the Chief Advisor’s office.
